Getting to Mallacoota

Mallacoota is in far east Gippland, Victoria, approximately 350kms (4 hours' drive) from Canberra via Cooma, 520kms (6.5 hours) from Melbourne, and 630kms (7 hours) from Sydney. Public Transport Victoria runs a regular train-coach service to Mallacoota via the Sapphire Coast route. Rex Airlines offers regular flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Merimbula Airport, where you can hire a car and drive to Mallacoota (approximately 1.5 hours).

Please take care driving to Mallacoota, as road conditions can change quickly and wildlife is active, particularly at dawn and dusk.
